Chris Martin, CFP®

Partner, Wealth Advisory Services

I joined Fairway in 2012, drawn by the opportunity to serve a unique set of clients and help them create, protect, and distribute their wealth. As a Partner in our Wealth Advisory Services practice, my role is to listen closely to clients, map out the optimal route for accomplishing their goals, and then help them stay on the right path. That work can involve tax planning, portfolio management, cash flow planning, estate reviews, or education planning. Each season brings something different.

The most meaningful part of my work is helping clients use their wealth in ways that bring fulfillment to them and their families.

In addition to my advisory role, I also serve as the firm’s internal technology and software leader.

I began my career in 2008 with a focus on tax planning and compliance. After moving to Ohio in 2011, I joined the tax department at Brockman, Coats, Gedelian and Co. in Akron, where my work centered on tax management for family wealth enterprises and closely held businesses. That background has translated naturally into my work with Fairway clients. I previously worked as an accountant at Ocker and Associates, PC, and I hold the CFP® certification.

Outside of work, I volunteer with the Family Resource Center in Northfield, Ohio. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and reading across a wide range of topics. My mornings always start with a tall thermos of black coffee.
