Ben Karlo

Senior Associate, Client Service and Operations

In the fall of 2019, I graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Finance and a minor in Accounting. While at Kent State, I interned with a local wealth management firm that specialized in 401(k) plans and other qualified retirement plans. After graduating, I accepted a full-time role as an Operations Associate at Prosperity Advisors, where I supported day-to-day participant needs.

I joined Fairway in January of 2022 as a Client Service Associate. In my role, I support clients with money movements, account maintenance, and the onboarding of new relationships. I also work closely with custodians and brokers to help ensure client needs are addressed efficiently. In addition, I support the compliance team by assisting with quarterly and annual review processes. I hold the FPQP designation.

The most meaningful part of my work is helping clients find solutions to complex problems and building strong relationships that allow me to better understand their needs.

I live with my wife and our dog in Lakewood, Ohio. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, fishing, and playing on a local co-ed softball team. I am also an avid reader and enjoy investment-focused books, including The Intelligent Investor.
